As you probably know from my last post (or Instagram if you follow me there), B and I spent a week in New Mexico for a little getaway. Neither of us had been and we liked the idea of small towns, beautiful views, golf, and spas.
And even though we both like golf and spas (who doesn't?), we're not really "golf and spa" resort type people. We're actually not really resort type people of any kind. So we spent most of our trip in a perfect little cottage we rented on on VRBO where we could make our own breakfast from supplies from the farmers market, sip coffee in the privacy of our patio, and basically avoid all signs of actual human life (my introvertedness is really coming through right now).
But as lovely as that was, we attempted to be resort people and made the decision to spend our last two days at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa for some final relaxation before heading home (plus it is connected to Twin Warriors Golf Club - one of the 50 best public courses in the country and the real selling point for B).
Let me tell you, this place was amazing.
I basically spent my time reading in front of a fireplace (both indoor and outdoor), laying by one of the three year round outdoor heated swimming pools, bike riding through the property, and sipping wine on the patio while watching the most incredible sunsets. Not a bad way to spend a weekend.
Maybe I'm a resort type person after all.
