Friday Favorites :: Ashley Pittman Jewelry
Brrr…That about sums up this week. We came back from Florida a few days ago and are feeling a little bummed about it. Coming home from 80 degree weather to 10 degree weather was about as fun as a root canal. To make it a little more depressing, it was my last shot at traveling before the baby comes. That means it's going to be a long, cold winter.
Craving a little warmth this week, I decided to torture myself and browse through all the colorful resort wear (that I can't buy). I ended up stumbling upon these beautiful bangles and fell in love. They are by Ashley Pittman and all of her pieces are absolutely stunning. Her creations are inspired by centuries-old African jewelry and each piece is entirely handcrafted in Kenya using repurposed horn, semiprecious gemstones, bronze and materials indigenous to East Africa. Best of all, Ashley Pittman donates 10% of all profits to help fund the Kamboo Dispensary and Kathiani Primary School in Kenya. You can read more about it here.
I know my birthday is quite a few months away but I think these and these will be at the top of my birthday wish list. (Unless someone is reading this and wants to surprise me…hint, hint).
