Honestly, I’m just not that into Valentine’s day. I’m totally into romance, just not forced romance. Not the kind of “romance” that says just because it’s February 14th, I must get overdressed (it is like 10 degrees here) and spend an outrageous amount of money on overcooked steak. My preference? Something more low key and intimate.
And like the day, I prefer a more understated outfit as well.
On a day of over the top frill, I like to be a little bit unexpected with my fashion choices. Rather than donning a sexy red dress or bright pink everything, I prefer a more understated look. This year, in honor of the Polar Vortex that just won’t quit, I’ve decided to wear winter white. And because I’m not a total bitter cupid for the day, I’ve decided to add some bright red shoes for the occasion. And yes, some heart sunglasses.
